Dink
A downloadable game for Windows
A boy runs from a fight into a door that should not exist.
DINK is a short first-person psychological horror game about doors, debt and the people who never got out.
Hakan Kaya is sixteen. His parents are gone, he left school, and he works long shifts at a market for almost nothing so his little sister can keep the lights on. One night a fight with a co-worker turns into a chase. In a narrow street, a huge door blocks the way. He goes through.
Behind it, every room has two doors. One leads on. The other leads somewhere worse.
How it plays
- Read the letters. People trapped here before you left notes. Each one is a story, and a hint: LEFT or RIGHT.
- Listen to the radio. Someone is still whispering on the last signal.
- Don't trust everything. The deeper you go, the more often a letter lies.
- Wrong door, dungeon. Beat a short minigame against the clock to get back. You only get two escapes.
- Take your time. Players who skip the story and rush the doors get the bad ending: an endless loop.
Features
- 15 rooms, two endings
- Dungeon minigames
- Story in English and Turkish, menus in 7 languages
- Online leaderboard
Dink is about what low pay and endless shifts do to young people. The monster is not behind the door. The door is what's left when nothing else is.
- Telsizi dinle. Son sinyalde biri hâlâ fısıldıyor.
- Her ipucu doğruyu söylemez. İlerledikçe mektuplar daha sık yalan söyler.
- Yanlış kapı seni zindana atar. Yalnızca iki kez kurtulabilirsin.
- Hikayeyi okumadan kapılara koşan, sonsuz döngüye düşer.

A bit confusing at first, but I found the mechanic of using notes left by missing people to guide you toward the objective to be interesting. However, I did get a bit lost because the puzzles required to save your progress weren't in English.
I was really glad you played my game; your feedback means a lot to me. I’m continuing to develop the game with some very different and radical changes—stay tuned. P.S. I also left a comment on your channel, by the way—it’s called “Timarhane.”
I’m a big supporter of the indie style of gaming; I believe it deserves much greater visibility than it currently has, but it’s a great start—it just needed a bit of my attention to make progress. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for any updates; perhaps I’ll record a new session covering the full experience once it’s released.
I need feedback. Good or bad no problem, just comment.
